Important MR article outlining rampant practice of visa trading, kickbacks or corruption, stemming from recruitment practices in migrant worker destination countries – ‘Huge recruitment fees charged for jobs in the Gulf: Qatar recruiters accused of demanding the highest commissions’

Huge recruitment fees charged for jobs in the Gulf: Qatar recruiters accused of demanding the highest ‘commissions’. https://www.migrant-rights.org/2022/06/huge-recruitment-fees-charged-for-jobs-in-the-gulf-qatar-recruiters-accused-of-demanding-the-highest-commissions/

Another important article outlining the rampant practice of visa trading, kickbacks or corruption, stemming from recruitment practices in migrant worker destination countries (and not in migrant worker source countries) by destination country agents/middlemen/employers HR (and not source county agents/actors) during the migrant worker recruitment process.

It’s clear again more focus needs to be on unethical destination country agent and employer practices rather than focusing on unethical source country agents practices if unethical recruitment practices are to be addressed and ethical recruitment processes promoted.

As ethical recruitment must start with the employer and destination country agent’s good practices, without which ethical recruitment is impossible by source country agents
