Hundreds of migrants in Malaysia are victims of a recruitment agency scam and are left stranded. Many from Bangladesh and Nepal took out big bank loans or spent their life savings – only to find they had been duped by the false promises of a job.

The video below shows a migrant worker in Malaysia struggling to send money back to his family, eat properly, and pay back his debt. The worker’s identity has been concealed upon request for safety reasons. This video describes the situation hundreds are facing in Malaysia through recruitment scams.
